Cast gate valve S38
Gate valves of cast steel S38, bolted bonnet design, sizes from DN50 to DN300, pressure up to PN100, working temperature up to 530°C, according to the requirements of European Directive 2014/68/EU for pressure equipment.
Application
- Working medium: water, water steam (overheated steam) and other non-aggressive liquids and gasses.
- Application: classical and nuclear energy; chemical industry.
- Seismic Resistance: I-st class, according to IEC 980, IEEE 382, EN 60068-2-6.
Technical description
- Gate valve S38 has a bolted construction.
- The body and the bonnet are made of castings.
- The seats of body and wedge (disc) are hardfaced with stainless or wear-resistant material.
- Flexible wedge with material corresponding to the steel body.
- The monolythic stem is of stainless steel.
- The connection of the gate valves is according to EN, DIN, ANSI (ASME), GOST implemented by:
- flanged;
- butt weld type BW; - The operation of gate valve S38 is performed by:
- Manual operation:
- manual handwheel
- manual gearbox.
- Electric operation:
- with electric actuator according to the requirements of the working conditions and these of the client. - The tests of the gate valves are carried out in accordance with EN12266-1,2 or according to the working conditions and customer’s requirements.
- The gate valves S38 can be installed in any position, for the sizes bigger than DN200 the horizontal installation is recommended. When installing a gate valve equipped with an electric actuator, the manufacturer's installation requirements for the electric drive must be observed.
- Monolythic stem (spindle) and flexible wedge - strength, stability and wear resistance.
- Cast steel gate valves S38 have a simplified construction.
